Difference between Solitude vs. Solutide S - Class
There is little argument to be had, that Grand Design RV's are some of the best made RV's in industry right now. They have many different models, options, floor plans, be it a Travel Trailer, Toy Hauler, or Fifth Wheel, Grand Design puts extra effort into all that they do to make sure that now matter the preference, the camper will be satisfied in their decision to purchase their units and happy with all the extra's that come with them.
If their is one thing, that Grand Design does the best though, I would say it is their 5th Wheelers.
The Solitude and the Solitude S-Class are both impressive camper lines. But when it comes time to look at them, which one really is better? Is it the Solitude or Solitude S-Class?
The winner is not the Solitude S-Class but the Solitude!
Both the Solitude and Solitude S-Class, have some great features that are sure to be a benefit to anyone who purchases the camper. From the standard Arctic Package that is better suited to four season camping, with the Fireplace with electric heaters, all the way to the second TV that are in the bedrooms, Grand Design knows how to treat the campers. Yet for all that both campers do well, where are some of the places they do not add the extras in the S-Classes?
Trailair's Rota-Flex Pin Box is "rubberized and pivoting pin box designed to enhance and smooth your ride." This is something that right off of the bat comes standard on the Solitude but not the S-Class. Also sported on the better model is the Hydraulic Auto Leveling System. Other changes include LED rope lighting that isn't found in the S-Class but is in the other as well as a 12 Gallon Gas/ Electric water heater and whole house water filtration system.
There are a few other differences between the two models, as well as options that can be added to each unit but sometimes not the other such as Full Body Paint for the Solitude but no option for this in the S-Class.
Even though both of these units have their differences, unless you have your heart set on some specific feature (like the Pull-Out Kitchen available on some Solitudes), then either model will surely be great choice to anyone looking into purchasing a Fifth Wheel.
