Avenger 27DBS Review

The Avenger line manufactured by Prime Time Manufacturing based in Indiana. The company is under the Forest River Inc. umbrella.

The Model itself, is the #1 best selling unit across the whole manufacturer's line-up. The camper itself has a lot of features usually only reserved with more pricier models. One of the biggest factors that this model is so reasonably priced is due to the fact that it is one of the most produced models. One of the best features on the newer models is the stairs that fold into the camper itself. Unlike many similar models in the price point, they extra touch here is sure save tons of aggravation at the start and end of the season. Helping save backs and stress with fighting heavy fold under stairs.

Continuing on the outside of this unit, there is an outdoor kitchen that hides under the rear bunks inside. A bottle opener next to the door is a pleasant and welcoming gimmick that while not a reason to by helps if you are to own it. It holds two propane tanks, and though it does not come with a cover from the manufacturer, one can be had for it. The pass through storage can be accessed from underneath the queen bed inside to help keep you out of the weather when you need something.

The power awning comes standard with LED lighting above the outdoor speakers that can keep you enjoying your time throughout the night with background music.

When you first step into the unit, the floor opens up for you to the left while on your right the Queen bed is tucked away for privacy. The 27DBS is excellent for larger families. With double bunks in the rear, the top supports up to 250lbs and the bottom bunk more, this unit is the best for someone who needs to pack the family and guests in after a long day of camping and exploring the outdoors.

The jackknife sofa has a storage drawer underneath and light up cup holders with USB charges for when the electronics need more juice but we do not want to leave them sitting somewhere.

Black Water Tank RV

ALL Rv's and Campers have three tanks: Fresh Water, Gray Water, and Black Water. The Black water tank is most often than not the smallest of the tanks. Sometimes it is on par with the Gray Water tank, in terms of capacity, but not always. The Black Water Tank is collects both solids and liquid waste. This waste is collected from the toilet(s) in your camper. This is the only tank that will and should be collecting toilet waste. The waste therefore will be human waste as well as the water to flush and whatever toiletries are needed when using a toilet. RV Black water tanks should only be used with special toilet paper and needs to be maintained properly for sanitary reasons at least. Black water tanks tend to collect less waste than the gray water tanks but not always.

RV Battries when not in use

When your camper does not have a battery disconnect, you have two options to maintain the battery life. Disconnect the battery by removing one, (or both) wires. Install a disconnect switch. The best option is usually to use a battery disconnect switch but if you do not have one it is only a small price and a few different install options to make this happen. There are also many YouTube videos out there that show how this can be done that I do not need to add any but I can link some for you. From blade switches that can be installed on the base trim of the RV with out putting holes in the aluminum or fiberglass walls, to switches that sit on the battery. The main goal of the switch or just unplugging the battery is that it will stop a slow drain on the system and kill any residual voltage loss while dormant.
