Does the Grand Desgin Imagine have a good warranty?

  Grand Design is a higher end manufacturer of Recreational Vehicles, aka RV's. They are newer company to the scene, having their start in 2012. The founders are three gentlemen who had ownership ties to Keystone RV. They combined where knowledge and know how to bring better innovation and quality to the RV industry.

As of now, their Grand Design travel trailers and 5th wheeler warranties are some of the best in the game. The Warranties on them are not too shabby either. Let's face it, no one wants to have an issue with a new unit, but it happens all to often. The first time out is usually known as the "shakedown" period in the industry and is when all the kinks and bugs are found that need to be fixed so as to get your camper in tip top shape.

Black Water Tank RV

ALL Rv's and Campers have three tanks: Fresh Water, Gray Water, and Black Water. The Black water tank is most often than not the smallest of the tanks. Sometimes it is on par with the Gray Water tank, in terms of capacity, but not always. The Black Water Tank is collects both solids and liquid waste. This waste is collected from the toilet(s) in your camper. This is the only tank that will and should be collecting toilet waste. The waste therefore will be human waste as well as the water to flush and whatever toiletries are needed when using a toilet. RV Black water tanks should only be used with special toilet paper and needs to be maintained properly for sanitary reasons at least. Black water tanks tend to collect less waste than the gray water tanks but not always.

RV Battries when not in use

When your camper does not have a battery disconnect, you have two options to maintain the battery life. Disconnect the battery by removing one, (or both) wires. Install a disconnect switch. The best option is usually to use a battery disconnect switch but if you do not have one it is only a small price and a few different install options to make this happen. There are also many YouTube videos out there that show how this can be done that I do not need to add any but I can link some for you. From blade switches that can be installed on the base trim of the RV with out putting holes in the aluminum or fiberglass walls, to switches that sit on the battery. The main goal of the switch or just unplugging the battery is that it will stop a slow drain on the system and kill any residual voltage loss while dormant.
